Schriftstellerin, \u00dcbersetzerin und Kulturschaffende. Ver\u00f6ffentlichte neun B\u00fccher auf Deutsch und Arabisch, (Mit-)\u00dcbersetzung von zehn weiteren B\u00fcchern. Obfrau des Vereins Mendy \u2013 Friedenskultur und Diversit\u00e4tsmanagement, Koordination von Schreibwerkst\u00e4tten f\u00fcr Migrantinnen und Gefl\u00fcchtete aus \u00d6sterreich und anderen europ\u00e4ischen L\u00e4ndern. Mehrere Auszeichnungen, u.a.: Erwachsenenbildungs-Award (2007), Herta-Pammer-Preis der Katholischen Frauenbewegung \u00d6sterreichs, Goldenes Verdienstzeichen des Landes Wien (2020). Englischer PEN Award f\u00fcr \u00dcbersetzung des Buches <i>Ontha El Anhar<\/i> (2023).
